Update What Changes in the Business

When prices, hours, people, or the offer change, change the page in the same week. A site that still lists last year’s menu trains Google and buyers to distrust you.

Assign one owner. A website with “everyone can edit” and nobody responsible becomes stale. Website maintenance is the service name when you want that owned outside the office.

Backups Before You Edit

Take a backup you can restore before a plugin update, a copy paste, or a staff experiment. A backup you have never tried to restore is a hope, not a plan.

Keep the backup off the same machine as the site. You do not need a brand name to remember that. You need a date and a file you can find.

Security Is Care, Not a Plugin Pitch

Updates, keys, and who can log in are the work. We do not claim unhackable, WAF theatre, or a SOC on a how-to. Website security is hardening and monitoring as care.

Staff leave. Remove their logins. Do not share one password in a WhatsApp group. That is more useful than a badge in the footer.

Content You Will Actually Change

A news URL you will not write is not a growth plan. Update proof, hours, and the offer pages you already have. If you want articles, put them on a calendar you keep — we do not invent a posting cadence or follower targets.

Guides and News & Articles on this site exist because we write them. Your site should only open a feed if someone owns the next piece.

When Care Becomes a Redesign

If the sitemap cannot hold how buyers search, or the layout cannot convert on a phone, maintenance will not save it. Read redesign or website maintenance and decide honestly.

Bring the live URL to the audit. We will say whether you need care, speed, security, or a new project. We will not sell a rebuild because a colour feels dated.
