Match the URL to the Ad

Read the ad line out loud. Open the URL you plan to use. If the first screen talks about something else, you will pay for bounce. One offer, one proof set, one action.

That is why landing page design is different work from Home. The argument is in ads should not land on the homepage. This checklist is what to look at before the campaign.

Check the First Screen on a Phone

Load the URL on a mid-range handset on mobile data. If the offer and the button are not in the first view, fix the page before you buy clicks. Office Wi-Fi lies.

Watch for a slider, a cookie wall, or a video that spends the click on a spinner. Speed work sits in speed optimization and in how to check speed on a phone.

Confirm the Offer and the Tap

The button must match the ad: a quote, a booking, a WhatsApp with the campaign in the prefill. A general Contact Us is a second decision the buyer did not ask for.

If the visitor needs six other pages to decide, you do not have a landing-page job. You have a site job. Do not spend media to discover that.

Measure Enquiry, Not Only Clicks

Decide the conversion before launch: chat, form, or call. Sessions without that event are not a win. UTM and a unique prefill tell you which ad paid for the tap.

Google Ads should follow that page, not invent a second story in the copy. If the landing URL changes, the ad changes with it.

When Home Is Still Wrong

Brand campaigns and people who typed your name can start on Home. A screening, a course date, or a single product line usually cannot. Defaulting to Home because it exists is how Malaysian businesses spend media on a menu.
